David Domoney Comes to Jacuzzi UK - Van Hage

David Domoney visits Jacuzzi UK at Van Hage Great Amwell on 28th June!

Currently David co presents with Alan Titchmarsh the biggest viewing Garden Television show in Britain today. ITV1’s Love Your Garden which peaked this year with 4.6 Million viewers and has re commissioned for a new prime time series of 8 one hour shows plus holiday specials for 2014.

David studied Horticulture at Warwick, Hadlow and Pershore colleges of Horticulture. His early career started with Notcutts nurseries, progressing to become head of garden buying for some of the UK’s blue chip multiple retail chains. He is a passionate Horticulturalist with a sound commercial background.

David is a Fellow of The Institute of Horticulture and sits on the Royal Horticultural Society Commercial Board. He pioneered Young Gardeners of the Year competition in association with the Princes Foundation for the Built Environment (now in its 4th year); over 250 students from around Britain have had first-hand experience building Show Gardens exposed annually to a quarter million London visitors at the Ideal Home Show.  

David also set up the UK’s National Community Gardening Competition “Cultivation Street” in association with the Horticultural Trades Association, reaching out and rewarding communities who are bringing beauty back into Britain’s Streets by transforming blank plots into gardens for their neighborhood and with it  generating a positive social environment (across all ages) and a sense of Pride in their communities.  

Internationally he has promoted the British Horticultural Industry at events, seminars conferences and forums.  He was commissioned by the British Consulate to lecture in Canada; by the Russian trade fairs to present on British trends in Moscow; in Europe he has presented keynote speeches in Berlin, Barcelona, Brussels, and many more.

David presents to a wider audience through his television shows, writing for national newspapers and magazines. Over the last 10 years alone he has presented on ITV1 Better Homes; ITV1 Solution Street; BBC Chelsea Coverage; Channel 4 Grand Designs; GMTV; ITV1 Garden Doctor; ITV1 This Morning’s.  He has also written for House Beautiful Magazine, Telegraph, Daily Mail, The Sunday Mirror, Garden News, Garden Answers Magazine, & currently writes a weekly Gardening page in the Sunday People Newspaper..

Winner of 27 RHS Medals including Gold’s at Chelsea Flower Show & BBC Gardeners World Live, plus and 2 Best in Show RHS category trophies.
