RECLAIMED FSC TEAK TABLES – PRODUCT INFORMATION
Materials:
- Made from sustainably sourced reclaimed solid teak wood sections
- Reclaimed teak sections are exclusively sourced in Java, Indonesia from old constructions such as houses and barns
- The teak sections are brushed, cleaned and hand repaired and finished, giving each table a unique rustic appearance and surface texture
Features and Benefits:
- Each table has a unique rustic character due to the variety of reclaimed timbers used
- As the teak is sourced from different reclaimed timber sections each table is unique in character and will have natural variations in colour and surface texture
- The colour of the wood will gradually age to become more uniform due to the effect of light and atmospheric conditions
- Teak can be left untreated to weather outdoors to a natural silver-grey or treated with teak oil or other teak wood treatments to retain the original colour of the wood
- Strength and durability of natural teak wood
Care and Maintenance:
- Teak has a high natural oil content and is therefore naturally durable and resistant to the effects of prolonged weathering outdoors
- If left untreated outdoors teak will weather to a natural silver-grey and will not require any special maintenance or treatment apart from occasional cleaning as required
- The timber should be cleaned with warm soapy water and a brush or sponge/cloth and then rinsed with clean water to remove any soap and dirt residues
- In order to retain the original colour of the wood or protect the surface from stains caused by food and drink, proprietary teak care products can be used to treat the surface of the timber
