Description

Experience the magic of ice skating in a relaxed environment at Van Hage this Christmas, with the return of our undercover Ice Rink

Due to popular demand we are now hosting ice skating sessions for children or adults with intellectual disabilities or people who may exhibit physical impairments. This will hopefully create a relaxed environment for families and carers to enjoy!

The sessions will only be available to Children/adults with special needs, and of course their parents, siblings and carers.

The sessions have been limited to 140 tickets. Should you book a disabled ticket this will automatically book out 2 tickets to include the carer in this session with them. Therefore there will only be a maximum of 70 children with disabilities on the ice at any one given time.

We will ensure the music throughout this session is quieter than usual however we must stress the Spectator area and Ice Café will still be accessible to other members of the public during this time.

Should you require a quiet area our ice marshals will direct you to the First Aid area upon request.

Ultimately we would like to make this an enjoyable experience for all of the family. Please note everyone entering the Ice Rink will be required to wear skates. Therefore it is a must that you are a competent skater, and confident in dealing with any behavioural issues whilst on the ice. Whilst we will create a safe ice skating environment for all, we ask that skaters take responsibility for their own actions whilst on the ice. The ice can be accessed in a wheelchair and our coaches are on hand throughout to provide additional support.

Due to the nature of the sport you may wish to consider bringing along your own safety equipment to reduce the likelihood of injury.

This is an all-weather event. You can come and enjoy the atmosphere in our fully heated marquee incorporating a viewing platform for spectators, comfortable seating and our mouth-watering Ice Café, open daily.

We have a full range of figure skates included in the price of admission and your shoes will be looked after a while you are out on the ice. We also have skating aids available to hire. Limited number available so we would advise you book these in advance due to their popularity.

Should you wish to arrange a group booking then you will receive 15% off at checkout.

Please view our Information and FAQ tab for further detailed information. Should you not find the answer you are looking for then we recommend you call before booking to avoid disappointment on the day.
