Van Hage Launch Charity Princettia
Van Hage launched our new Princettia range of houseplants at the end of August as part of a fun-filled and pink-themed Bank Holiday weekend at the Great Amwell Store in support of the Herts Breast Cancer Unit Appeal.
The brilliant new Princettia has been bred to flourish throughout the autumn months producing vibrant displays of lasting colour.
Van Hage's commitment to supporting the breast cancer appeal is underpinned by a donation of £1 to the charity with every Princettia sold. This contribution will be instantly doubled if the plant is brought with one of our beautiful coordinating pots available in a range of colours for just £3.99 each.
Van Hage Managing Director, Chris Roberts expressed his enthusiasm for both the event and the company's ongoing community work:
"We are extremely pleased to support the Herts Breast Cancer Unit Appeal through the sale of the stunning new Princettia houseplant.
"Launching a new range of plants confirms our commitment for being at the forefront of the garden retail industry."
Vicki Adkins, the driving force behind the breast cancer unit at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Welwyn Garden City, shared the company's optimism:
"I think it is a great idea to launch the Princettia for the unit," said Vicki. "The money raised will go towards equipment, but it will also help people to be breast aware, which is very important and can save lives.
"Also, we are not far away from October, which is breast awareness month, so we can have some in the unit which will look great."
The Princettia is grown at a more natural time of year than its Christmas counterpart producing colourful bracts and flowers that are less brittle and susceptible to drafts, yet still provide fabulous colour in the home for many weeks after purchase.
